Author
Caroline James
Caroline James always wanted to write but instead of taking a literary route, she followed a career in the hospitality industry, which included owning a pub and a beautiful country house hotel. She was also a media agent representing many celebrity chefs.
When she’s not writing, Caroline likes to go wild water swimming or walk with Fred, her Westie.
Chris Bridges
Chris Bridges is an alumni of the 2022 London Writers Award. He previously wrote a weekly column for an LGBTQ+ lifestyle website and was a theatre reviewer for various sites. As a former NHS nurse with a hidden disability, he likes to feature the untold stories of sick, dying, and disabled people in his work and smash the trope of the passive disabled character with a background role. When not writing, he can be found reading compulsively or walking his uptight poodle, Frida Kahlo.
Lucy Roth
Lucy Roth is the pseudonym for author Lucy Nichol – a writer with a love of flawed characters and tales from the darker side of life. Her previous works include WHEN SALLY KILLED HARRY (‘A razor-sharp revenge thriller with bite, brains and a body count’ The Observer).
Alex Summers
Alex Summers is a queer and neurodivergent writer from Milton Keynes, who now lives in London with his partner. When he is not writing, he is reading or swimming. The Stand-in Dad is his first novel.
Emily Grimoire
Emily Grimoire is the author of Impractical Magic. She was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating with a degree in History from the prestigious Smith College, she found solace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in her storytelling. In addition to her writing, Emily is known for her philanthropy and dedication to various charitable causes. She serves on the boards of several cultural institutions and volunteers as a docent at a local whaling museum. Despite her success, Emily remains devoted to her ungrateful daughter and a granddaughter who turned out much better than expected.
