Lucy Roth

Lucy Roth is the pseudonym for author Lucy Nichol – a writer with a love of flawed characters and tales from the darker side of life. She has a passion for mental health awareness, music and nostalgia. Her first work of fiction, a dark comedy called The Twenty Seven Club, explores music fandom, mental health and media sensationalism. Her second novel, Parklife (the sequel to The Twenty Seven Club), delves into addiction, recovery, friendship and hope, and is set against a backdrop of Northern life and 90s Brit Pop. Lucy’s third novel, a feminist comedy entitled No Worries If Not! was published in summer 2023 by Harper North.

Melanie Rose

Melanie Rose began writing as a teenager, progressing to short stories and articles for magazines and newspapers. She trained as a nursery nurse and later became a play therapist on the children’s ward at Royal Marsden Hospital.

Her first novel was voted one of the favourite reads of the year by listeners of Radio 4’s Open Book programme.

She now lives in Surrey with her husband and sons, who, along with many of the children she has cared for, provide much inspiration for her books.

Dani Redd

Dani Redd has an MA in Creative Writing and a PhD in Creative and Critical writing from the University of East Anglia. She studied representations of islands in postcolonial and feminist fiction.

Upon finishing her PhD, Dani spent two years living in India and working as a freelance travel writer. She has now returned to Norwich, and works as the editor for Great British Food (a wonderful job that allows her to read recipes all day).

Nicola Rayner

Nicola Rayner was born in Abergavenny, south Wales, and works as a freelance journalist. The Girl Before You, her first psychological thriller, was picked by the Observer as a debut to look out for in 2019. It has been translated into multiple languages and has also been optioned for television. She lives in London with her husband and Jack Russell.

Mandy Robotham

Mandy Robotham is a Globe and Mail, USA Today, and UK, Canadian, US and Australian Kindle Top 100 bestseller. She has been an aspiring author from the age of nine, but was waylaid by journalism and later enticed by birth. She’s now a former midwife who writes about birth, death, love and everything else in between. She graduated with an MA in Creative Writing from Oxford Brookes University.

Danielle Ramsay

Danielle Ramsay is a proud Scot living in a small seaside town in the North-East of England. Always a storyteller, it was only after initially following an academic career lecturing in literature that she found her place in life and began to write creatively full-time. After much hard graft her work was short-listed for the CWA Debut Dagger in 2009. Always on the go, always passionate in what she is doing, Danielle fills her days with horse-riding, running and murder by proxy.

Amanda Robson

After graduating, Amanda Robson worked in medical research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and at the Poisons Unit at Guy’s Hospital, where she became a co-author of a book on cyanide poisoning. Amanda attended the Faber novel writing course and writes full-time. Her debut novel, Obsession, became a #1 ebook bestseller in 2017. She is also the author of three more domestic suspense novels: Guilt, Envy and My Darling.

Jaime Raven

Jaime Raven is a full-time author living in Southampton UK. Jaime spends some of his time writing at his second home on Spain’s Costa Calida. He has three daughters. He was born in London and grew up in the gritty streets of Peckham where his family were well known street traders.
